Purpose
You will provide civil engineering services to Worley, and its Customers.
 
Responsibilities
  • Deliver civil engineering services that meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Perform civil engineering services such as:
    • identify and report changes to project scope;
    • assist with the preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules;
    • provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders;
    • contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions;
    • assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in civil engineering.
  • Communicate effectively with the civil engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

Worley is looking to recruit Civil Engineer for a Refinery Project in Egypt to be based in ASORC

Minimum Construction Site Experience: 12 Years

Minimum Qualification : Bachelor Degree 

Job Title: PMC Construction Engineer (Civil)

Reports to: PMC Construction Manager

 

Job Purpose & Scope:

  1. Ensuring HSSEQ goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement
  2. Provide technical and Construction expertise on all Field Engineering and Construction matters pertaining to Civil Engineering design, including underground facilities, drainage systems, roads/paving, foundations, concrete & structural steel buildings, analysis of soil investigation reports and rehabilitation works
  3. Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Civil Engineering deliverables developed by EPC Contractors, ensuring design and Construction optimization in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices.

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Champion the AHC Project Safety culture, behaviors and engagement activities
  2. Ensure quality and accuracy of EPC Contractor's Civil Engineering design and Construction activities
  3. Review and approve EPC Contractor's Field Engineering and Construction work and ensure compliance with Contract, AHC Project specifications, relevant codes and standards, design philosophy, and industry best practices
  4. Review and approve construction materials
  5. Review of execution methods/procedures submitted by EPC Contractors
  6. Review of bill of quantities bases in line with EPC Contract scope of work , specifications and drawings
  7. Actively participate in site surveys of facilities to establish and identify actual requirements of brownfield areas of the AHC Project
  8. Perform calculations for Field Engineering design validation and Construction optimization
  9. Participate in Field Engineering design reviews and technical workshops
  10. Participate in Construction workshops and studies for AHC Project
  11. Provide civil engineering expertise in the development and analysis of various Field Engineering design options
