GENERAL DUTIES

  • Prepares and details the scope of work with respect to the project requirements; 
  • Checks the documents and calculations;
  • Checks the material and equipment take-offs
  • Perform the required calculations;
  • Checks the material and equipment schedules and datasheets;
  • Set-up of specifications for equipment and materials;
  • Set up the specification for:
  • Package units
  • Installation contracts;
  • Instructs, follows up and coordinates the design and engineering activities;
  • Prepares studies related to his discipline;
  • Assists to safety studies;
  • Collaborates in the preparation of proposals;
  • Reports for the activities assigned to him:
  • The progress
  • The estimated manhours
  • The required manhours to do or to complete the activities 
  • Identifies scopes changes;

DEPARTMENT RELATED DUTIES

 

  • Cooperate with the set up hazardous classification and other environmental conditions;
  • Prepares and Checks :

o    P&ID’s (with Process)
o    instrument datasheets
o    instrument calculations
o    instrument requisitions
o    scope of work subcontract
o    control and safeguarding system specification
o    auxiliary systems
o    Low Voltage cable calculation and cable specifications
o    Heat tracing specification

  •     Field Checks 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality of his/her work
  • Supervise, coordinate and check the activities assigned and documents produced by the client;
  • Implements the work according to the manuals and ensures the consistency of working methods;
  • Ensures that deliverables comply to project requirements;
  • Reports any technical problem or scope change and estimates the schedule and cost impact;
  • Advises on technical and engineering problems and “Hold areas”

GENERAL REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Can work independent and in Team Collaboration;
  • Knowledge of the procedures and department standards related to his duties;
  • Experienced with EPC contracts;
  • Set up of man-hour control / estimates
  • Experience with cost / schedule / quality control procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of all the discipline related engineering and design matters
  • Fluent in Dutch and English mandatory !
  • Proficient communication skills 
  • Capable to independently supervise complete owned projects 
  • Be able to step up as Sub Lead is a plus (experience required!)

DEPARTMENT REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of the requirements for control and safe guarding systems;
  • Knowledge of Instrumentation & Electrical systems applied to process industry
  • E&I Field Experience
  • Competence to work and complete assigned multi smaller size projects simultaneously in a decent way 

SOFTWARE COMPETENCE

  • Autocad
  • SPI
  • Caneco BT (added value, not required)

EDUCATION

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Electrical / Instrumentation or Control system Engineering 

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 - 10 years minimum experience in E&I engineering in Petrochemical or Chemical Process Industries
