Environmental Consultant - Water Monitoring

What we offer you
Advisian has an opportunity for an Environmental Consultant β Water Monitoring to join our Environmental Consulting team.
This role will be managed from our Perth office with the assignment being FIFO to various mine sites in Western Australia on a 2 weeks on 1 week off OR 2 weeks on 2 weeks off roster.
We are looking to expand our team with individuals who will bring a range of field experience in environmental services to our Water Monitoring projects.
The preferred candidate will have 2-5 years in field based Environmental or Water Monitoring experience.
Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
You will be responsible for the execution of an ongoing ground water monitoring program.
As such the primary role is to manage and execute a program of low flow ground water quality monitoring.
Other tasks will include;
Coordination of project resources including;
- Vehicles,
- Sampling equipment,
- Samples (QAQC and COC),
- Daily field reports,
- Monthly environment and project reporting,
- Booking site flights and accommodation,
- Calibration and maintenance of equipment,
- Sample freight.
- preparation of HSE management documents (JHA)
- Provide technical feedback on any sampling issues
- Application for site permits as required (ground disturbance permit/environmental permit to work etc.)
- Mentoring and supervision of Jnr Field Technicians.
- Coordination with site management teams (environment, HSE and Construction)
- The person will be part of the Site Environmental Management team, in this position, from time to time, they may also be called upon to conduct other tasks of a Site Environmental Advisor.
Tertiary Environmental qualifications or equivalent discipline.
2-5 years Field Environmental & Water Monitoring programs.
Coordination and logistics experiences.
Strong attitude to Safety.
