The Role:
  
We are looking to appoint a new permanent Facilities Work Group leader to be based at AGLM Macquarie Power Station based between Singleton and Musswellbrook in the Upper Hunter Valley of NSW.

With a background in Industrial Cleaning ideally within a Power Station environment, you will take responsibility for supervising the day to day operations of the Industrial and Domestic Cleaners at both Bayswater and Liddell Power Stations. Reporting to the Power Station Superintendent, your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture in the workplace
  • Comply with Worley Risk, QA and HS&E Management Systems
  • Identify and manage resource requirements in conjunction with the Superintendent 
  • Maintain a high level of best practice on site workforce performance
  • Develop, communicate and implement all new safety initiatives in the workplace
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership of site cleaning activities
  • Supervise/plan activities, to align with operational performance KPI's
  • Develop the skills, motivation and resources of cleaning team members
  • Liaise with the planner to prioritise, schedule and resource daily work activities
  • Maintain schedule compliance to optimise contract KPI's
  • Ensure the Better-ways program is promoted and implemented on site to "value add" to our client
  • Ability to react  and schedule break in work on a daily basis, while still maintaining schedule compliance
  • Foster and lead a culture of continuous improvement 
  • Be familiar with the EA and Industrial Relations
  • Develop and implement sustainable site culture and behavioural change
  • Identify, initiate, recommend and assist in the issue resolution process
  • Effective communication and ability to influence others in how they think and act
  • Conflict/Priority identification and resolution

About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • SAP experience
  • Chemical Handling certificate
  • Thermal Power Station experience
  • HS&E SWMS development and implementation 
  • Forklift ticket
  • Ability to build/maintain business relationships bases on respect and trust
  • NSW car drivers license
  • 5 years Industrial and Domestic cleaning experience
  • A dedication to client satisfaction
  • Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • You will be an enthusiastic team player, with excellent stakeholder management skills
