Field Engineer - Mechanical

With the continued growth of the project, our team has ongoing construction opportunities based on site at the Oyu Tolgoi Mine in Mongolia. We are now seeking a Field Engineer - Mechanical. This role is based on site at Oyu Tolgoi Mine for 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
The purpose of this role is to provide competent technical support in relation to field engineering services for field engineering projects including earthworks, roads, dams, drainage, water supply, fixed plant facilities and other buildings, underground activities.
Please note that it is a requirement of this role that the successful candidate is a Mongolian Citizen.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all engineering project work undertaken complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices
- Prepare specifications and documentation for all engineering project work and ensure project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works
- Ensure engineering projects are completed on time and within budget
- Provide high level technical support for all engineering project work as required
- Prepare documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitoring regimes in respect of work on or around engineering projects
- Liaise with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure project goals are met
- Provide input to the engineering budget
- Participate in technical reviews of all procurement and construction contract packages
- Progress monitoring and reporting
- Undertake scope control and trending of scope changes as needed
- Undertake engineering support for the contractorβs daily activity
- Meet assigned dates for engineering deliverables
- Ensure compliance with quality standards in all tasks
- Provide information for Quality and other Audits
- Conducting research on site for self-development
- Making sure that everything works smoothly, and engineering designs are being followed
Requirements:
- Engineering Degree in Mechanical
- Previous working experience in relevant field
- Professional proficiency in English
