Process Safety Engineer
Working With Saudi ARAMCO, Maintain Potential Program (Offshore Oil and Gas), you will be responsible for implementation and continual improvement of the design safety and loss prevention.
You will coordinate Process Safety tasks from a design point of view collaborating with engineering and operation teams.
You will coordinate with the support of other project teams the occupational health issues in terms of Engineering design, field execution activities and preparation of operation phase.
You will keep and maintain all the applicable records as required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Process Safety team so that they meet their objectives about regulatory compliance and organizational goals.
- Co-ordinate the process hazard review, human factors, occupied building risk assessment programs to ensure they are completed competently and in a timely manner so that site process safety hazards are known and managed.
- Lead and Conduct Safety Reviews (HAZID/HAZOP) from SOW till Design Implementations.
- Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis if required.
- Emergency Escape and Rescue analysis.
- Safety and Environmental Critical elements and performance standards.
- Quantitative Risk Analysis.
- Emergency response preparedness and plans.
- Maintain the organization’s process safety risk
- Ensure relevant leading and lagging process safety performance indicators (PSPIs) are collated and published monthly.
- Lead accident investigations
- Work with consultants in the preparation of process safety studies
- Maintain and update COMAH Safety Reports
- Plan Conduct and Lead process safety audits.
- Management of changes records and reports.
- Safety requirement specification requirements.
- Proficient to write required SOW, reports, Action Plans, TQs and other applicable documentation.
- Action tacking follow up till closure.
- Ensure elements of safety and health management.
- Responsible for maintaining work progress (budget, schedule) and raising change documentation where necessary.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree with relevant HSEQ engineering qualifications. Master degree in Safety Management will be a plus.
- Certified Functional Safety Engineer (preferably by TUV)
- 10 to 15 years of experience with similar projects and/or clients.
- Be proficient in interpreting P&IDs, Cause and Effects charts, Single line diagram and other document that are required for design safety studies.
- Technically proficient in all areas of Safety Management and relevant areas of loss prevention engineering.
- Facilitator of safety assessments (e.g. HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL and LOPA) is preferred.
- Occupational health and safety management system development, action plan and implementation expertise.
- Excellent understanding of Saudi ARAMCO Standards and local regulations.
- Excellent report writing and compilation skills.
