Purpose:

Optimize project delivery through its lifecycle, provide system implementation planning, project and user set-up, configuration and training for P6 on all projects.  Assist with input to the development and maintenance of the system standard build, application security, documentation, reporting, systems integrations, and participate in new release testing and rollout.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project discussions, investigate and understand project requirements, and take the lead with the development and adherence to the Project Information Management Plan.  Revise the plan as needed when changes occur that affect the use of P6.
  • Set up and configure projects and users in P6 and related planning systems.
  • Deliver presentations to the project team as required.
  • Develop training schedules and deliver required training.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship and rapport with projects to ensure objectives are being met and solutions applied are effective.
  • Provide P6 system support to projects and users at 2nd and 3rd tier levels using Service Now.
  • Proactively seek out ways to help projects and users maximize efficiency using P6.
  • Monitor the use of P6 to ensure compliance with global standards and that each function’s activities support the next, and ultimately support the required and effective use of P6 at all project locations (including site offices).
  • Perform system health checks throughout the project lifecycle and close out projects with lessons learned.
  • Provide training to users online with global standards and project planning requirements.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of training documentation
  • Test all modules/functions used in the global standard configuration.
  • Ensure projects will not be negatively impacted by the upgrade.
  • Support production rollout.
  • Communicate changes to the users.
  • Monitor success post rollout – manage issues.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Planning System in all modules and associated work processes.
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of functional work processes and procedures, overall EPC business, and project execution.
  • Investigate ways to improve productivity, efficiency, or information availability and visibility for projects.
  • Evaluate new system functionality and determine if fit for purpose.
  • Regular meetings with the Locations Functional representatives for P6 and Planning in the specific region.
  • Coordinate in-house education, promotion and awareness programs for project staff and business unit managers.
  • Input to proposals and presentations with respect to our integrated execution capabilities at Worley.
  • Develop location support team capabilities for planning systems and implementation, training (train the trainer), and 2nd tier support (where location support teams are available, the global team is 3rd tier support for advanced issues).
  • Communicate regularly with location support teams regarding changes in System that may impact projects and users, and to understand the status of project implementation and usage effectiveness.
  • Responsible for personal safety, safe working practices, etc. - understand and follow the Worley OneWay Framework.
  • Support Project Information Manager in planning and coordination of Project Delivery Systems configuration, implementation, integration and training during start-up of new projects as they apply to P6 and Planning systems.

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience: 

  • 10+ years’ experience with P6 and/or Planning systems usage, support, administration, and configuration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Planning principles.
  • Strong overall understanding of project requirements, deliverables and workflows.
  • Ability to effectively deliver presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • 10+ years of relevant Project Planning experience; preferably using P6.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • General knowledge of systems (operating systems, software installation, and configurations).

Required:

  • A recognized degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
