Role Outline/ Responsibilities:  

Senior Civil Engineer required to lead a small team, providing support on the Ineos Term Services project at Grangemouth, Scotland. The role is based in the Glasgow office but will require frequent visits to site. Applicant will need to have existing right to work in the UK.

The Term Services Project involves a number of small to medium projects. The role will have overall responsibility for delivering these projects, including the preparation of budgets & schedules, controlling & leading resources, carrying out site surveys, preparing calculations & reports, and liaison with the client.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Responsible to lead the team into delivery of scope with quality, in time and within budget.
  • Plan and follow up with all resources available in the team including global workshare resources.
  • Coordinate and align with other Worley disciplines in the customer's project portfolio.
The role will include:
  • Be responsible for ensuring that your team delivers drawings, calculations and procurement documentation to the right quality, on time and within budget;
  • Plan and monitor available resources in the projects including our global resources;
  • Coordinate and adapt work to other disciplines in the project;
  • Work in multi-disciplinary project groups in close collaboration with commissioning and other disciplines such as construction, mechanical, process, electrical, instrument etc.
  • Ensure proper application of technical standards;
  • Be responsible for quality, budget at schedule for your discipline within projects.
  • Coordinate and align with other Worley disciplines in the customer's project portfolio.

 

 

Qualifications / Experience:      
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Candidates must as a minimum have a BSc degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, construction technology;
  • Several years' experience within civil/structural design in similar industry and/or building sector;
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and TEKLA;
  • English and Swedish, fluent in speech and writing.
