Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Dams & Tailings)

- Growing the Advisian tailings business locally, regionally and globally from our base in Perth by leading a wide variety of tailings prospects and projects.
- Building and sustaining strong and diverse client relationships.
- Building a resilient and agile tailings team.
- Maintaining a high quality of technical delivery through the team.
- Supporting the growth of the Advisian dams and tailings business locally, regionally and globally from our base in Perth by working on a wide variety of tailings and dams prospects and projects.
- Selling, securing and delivering geotechnical services for tailings and dams opportunities on behalf of Advisian, including strategy and concept studies, site investigation, design, construction supervision, operational requirements and client advice.
- Delivering high quality technical work with strong commercial focus.
- Experience in delivering projects to current legislative requirements, accepted industry practice and Australian/global technical standards.
- A strong and demonstrable focus on client management and client networks.
- Compelling experience in business development.
- Talent in building and managing robust, dynamic and creative teams.
- Mature and diverse understanding and knowledge of geotechnics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- An ability to travel regionally and internationally.
- You will also need to hold an unrestricted Australian driverโs license.
- Preferential, but not requisite experience, in tailings cover design modelling.
- Demonstrable experience in the use of Plaxis, Slope/W( or Slide) and Seep/W in the application of tailings design and closure.
- Experience in delivering projects to current legislative requirements, accepted industry practice and Australian/global technical standards.
- Talent in building and managing robust, dynamic and creative teams
- Well-developed and divers understanding and knowledge of geotechnics
