Important information about this role:

  • The Candidate will be located at the Shell Manitoba Terminal
  • Qualified candidates will need to be available each year during the months of May -  November.
  • Local Candidates to the City of Winnipeg is an asset
  • Candidates willing to relocate to the City of Winnipeg is an asset
  • Per Diem for living is not expected to be compensated
  • Willing to work weekends and extended overtime hours

 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Coordinating Site Meetings
  • Driving Schedule
  • Providing technical review inputs for engineering work packages and construction work packages
  • Managing Change Orders
  • Providing construction schedule inputs
  • Coordinating multiple contractors
  • Provide  coordination between the contractor, client and engineering
  • Assist in the creation of pre-construction and outage schedules.
  • Completed reviews of project required materials and their associated delivery dates to ensure the scheduled tie in outage can proceed without issue.
  • Work on getting daily permitting for all construction activities pertaining to the project.
  • Ensured contractor adheres to the Shell Safety Manual for all tasks by reviewing Safety requirements and HEMP for task activities.
  • Review drawing packages and worked with Engineering to resolve constructability issues in advance of the field installations.
  • Review Contractor FCN's, RFIs, LEMs and PCNs at site for any changes in the field
  • Ensure contractor installation meets the criteria outlined in the ITP and are as per Shell Specifications
  • Ensure QC and turnover documentation is completed and delivered to the client by the site contractor.
 

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience: 

 

  • 10+ years as a qualified Construction Manager or equivalent
  • Technical Degree or an Engineering Degree is an asset
  • Terminal construction management is an asset
  • Construction management or coordination in the energy sector is an asset
