Civil, Structural and Architectural Drafter

With the continued growth of the project, our team has ongoing construction opportunities based on site at the Oyu Tolgoi Mine in Mongolia. We are now seeking a Civil, Structural and Architectural Drafter. This role is based on site at Oyu Tolgoi Mine for 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off. 

The purpose of this role is to provide design drafting services for various disciplines to the OT project for the development or upgrade of mine and mining related process plant and infrastructure.

Please note that it is a requirement of this role that the successful candidate is a Mongolian Citizen and this role will be hired through an Agency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D and/or 3D drawings of plant and equipment as required.
• Ensure all design drawings for engineering project work comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies, practices and QA requirements.
• Liaise with the discipline engineers to determine project requirements and deadlines.
• Produce drawings that comply with relevant national standards, provide the correct technical solution, are free of error or omission and are on time and on budget.
• Where applicable, extract appropriate detail from vendor information for incorporation into drawings.
• Provide equipment lists, drawing lists, schedules and man hour estimates for works.
• Provide timely turnaround of drawings/documentation flow;
• Apply discipline drawing standards and contribute to maintaining and developing those standards.

Requirements:

• Relevant trade and possibly advanced trade certificates or equivalent.

• Previous design drafting experience is must
