Our Electrical Foreman supervise the physical workforce in installations for the electrical discipline. Ensure that procedures are established and followed and that safe work standards are understood and practiced.

Electrical General Foreman Essential Job Functions:

- Assist in job planning and work scheduling Foremen to ensure effective operations and productivity

- Supervise and control the execution of all electrical functions of the assigned project and outline work program, designating critical areas and priorities

- Follow detailed scheduling of daily construction activities and coordination between Worley and subcontractors to avoid conflicts

- Analyze electrical requirements and other critical items to determine the best work method

- Supervise electrical operations in accordance with company, client and agency health, safety & environmental policies  and regulations

- Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction site to verify safety and to ensure that specifications  are met and are accountable for safe work practices

- Read specifications such as blueprints to determine requirements and to plan procedures

- Record information such as personnel, production, daily labor and operational data on specified forms and reports Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Possess current knowledge of electrical and organizational practices

- Have excellent written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization

- Strong background with industrial and brown field electrical work

- Strong organizational skills

- Ability to direct and supervise large groups

- Ability to effectively identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and  implement solutions; consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one

- Ability to effectively motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job

- Ability to motivate members of a group to work together to accomplish tasks

- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas to a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities  and abilities; provide information effectively by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person

- Ability to perform work in a reliable, responsible, ethical, and dependable manner, fulfilling obligations

- Ability to create work schedules using internal/external software programs

- Highly skilled in troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairing electrical installations

- Working knowledge of Microsoft and client software programs

- Skilled in oversight of safely executing all electrical work scope

- Proficient in planning and scheduling work

Physical Demand/Work Environment:

- Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and

- high ranges and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

- Lift 40 lbs from floor to knuckles x 2 with a 12 second interval

- Lift 40 lbs from floor to waist x 2 with a 12 second interval Lift 12 lbs from floor to above head/crown level with a 12 second interval.

- Repetitively lift 30 lbs from floor to knuckles x 10 self-paced but continuous with 12 second intervals between each lift.

- Carry Test: Carry 40 lbs with two hands for 50 feet x 2; self-paced, but continuous, allow a 60 second rest break between - carry tests, i.e. after 50 feet

- Climb Stairs: Climb up and down 12 steps x 10 for a total of 120 steps; self-paced, but continuous, allow 60 second rest  breaks af each up and down climb of 40 steps Lift,

- Carry and Climb: While carrying 35 lbs in one hand and holding onto a railing with the other hand for safety, walk up and  - Down 12 steps x 2 for a total of 24 steps; self-paced but continuous, allow 60 second rest break 12 steps up and down

- Slanted Ladder: Climb up and down 15 rungs x 6 for a total of 90 rungs; allow a 60 second rest break after climbing up and down each set of 30 rungs

- Repetitive Stoop Test: Perform from standing position, bend forward at waist as far as possible without bending the knees with hands reaching toward the floor x 5, self-paced, but continuous

- Repetitive Kneel Test: Perform from standing, kneel on one knee, alternate from left to right knee, x 5 each knee

- Repetitive Squat Test: Perform a functional squat and stand x 5

- Twist and Flex Test: Perform from standing alternate toe touches x 5 to each side to assess ability to twist and flex the  trunk repetitively

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must possess current Alaska Journeymen Fitness Certificate
  • Associate’s degree in electrical technology or a four (4) year apprenticeship program may be substituted for four (4)  years of field experience, provided the industrial electrical experience requirement is met
  • 5 years of Petrochemical or Industrial Electrical experience
  • 3-5 years of effectively managing and leading Electrical technicians
  • North Slope construction experience is preferred
  • Turnaround / Shutdown experience is preferred
