- Provide input on construction execution, safety, and environmental factors in the development of construction management plans.
- Facilitate and guide the contractor in site stakeout; establish and verify the contractor readiness, and ensure smooth start of job.
- Ensure adherence of construction work in accordance with the approved construction practices, standards and planning processes.
- Participate in construction reviews such as Constructability and Construction Risk Assessments.
- Conduct regular job-start meetings, toolbox meetings with all Contractor personnel. Ensure a safe work environment through the provision of training and safety awareness for all contractor personnel.
- Manage the design documentation submitted to site for construction. Ensure contractor personnel are always working to the latest drawings and documents.
- Review of job procedure, QAP, ITP with respect to specifications and contractual terms and conditions.
- Monitor day-to-day works performed by the contractors. Review and inspection of production line activities.
- Coordinate and guide the contractor on multi-discipline interface.
- Respond to technical queries and other requests from site in a timely manner.
- Assist the Construction Manager in coordination of contractors. Schedule progress review meetings with contractors.
- Attend and input into “coal-face” planning sessions
- Track construction phases and report project lessons learnt at completion of the construction program.
- Monitor performance and progress of activities and implement corrective actions, as required, meeting project objectives
- Measure, verify and certify the invoice for work done.
- Prepare as-built red marking wherever there is deviation from drawing. Compile all construction records, hand over final documentations, and return all records for archiving in accordance with the agreed completion system
- 5 years in Construction site supervision roles exposure for Degree qualified engineers or 8 years for diploma qualified engineers in respective branch of engineering.
- Recognized Degree / Diploma in respective branch of engineering.
- Understanding of an industrial construction environment.
- Experience in the establishment and application of construction systems, processes and tools.
- Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and a sound knowledge in relevant software.
- Strong safety and quality implementation skills.
