Key accountabilities and tasks:

•Develop and implement construction practices, standards and planning processes for the project and provide direction and advice on construction matters.

•Ensure adherence to construction work in accordance with the Project Execution Plan.

•Prepare management plans for construction execution, safety, and environmental factors.

•Lead risk reviews for construction element of all projects.

•Participate in all reviews such as Constructability and Construction Risk Assessments

•Execute the construction portion of project plans through;

i. detailed planning and day-to-day direction of field activities.

ii. preparation and planning of resources for a project

iii. forecasting of costs.

•Provide leadership and direction to relevant multi-discipline site teams.

•On each project; establish, authorize and implement projects plans and strategy, including;

i. construction planning, programming and completion schedules

ii. construction strategies, methods, resources,

iii. material and equipment requirements

iv. Control project expectations for labor, equipment, material and

services and ensure field operations are within budget.

•Manage any scope, cost, time and schedule changes to a project.

•Establish construction facilities and temporary requirements for execution of construction activities.

•Recommend engagement of subcontractors and recommend actions for all major subcontract variations.

•Delegate to field staff and maintain supervision of functional responsibilities.
