Role Outline/ Responsibilities | Requirements We currently have an opportunity for a Graduate Piping Engineer to join one of our Aberdeen office. You will hold or will be studying for a MEng in Mechanical Engineering (minimum grade 2:1). Working in a project team environment you will need a relevant degree, be collaborative and enthusiastic, with a willingness to further your learning at work. The role will involve a mixture of office and site-based experiences. Although post qualification experience is not vital we are looking to attract people who can show experiences of teamwork and initiative. As a project based organisation, the ability to be flexible about location will be of benefit. Responsibilities: You will be assigned specific responsibilities when you start and a mentor will be identified to help you with your development. Training will be given in all aspects of your assigned job responsibilities. Undertaking engineering design, with possible installation and commissioning activities on Client sites. During your 2 year Graduate development period you will be trained to: • Ensure that the designs are safe to install, operate, maintain. • Ensure the timely execution of the design. • Ensure the Company's procedures are adhered to for all tasks or projects • Ensure the timely completion of all assigned project specifications, designs, drawings and requisitions. • Assist in reviewing all vendors’ bids and documentation for technical acceptability. • Supply technical assistance to other design groups. • Suggest improvements to existing work process methods and techniques to aid cost reductions in assigned work areas. • Carry out calculations such as Pipe Stress Analysis using Caesar II software and vessel design calculations using Finglow. • Write technical specifications and reports
