Role Outline/ Responsibilities

We currently have an opportunity within our Stockton office for someone to train as a Graduate Project Management Assistant before moving into a Project Manager role. Worley Stockton is involved in global projects covering the full breadth of the Mining, Metals and Mineral Processing sectors although the wider Worley group execute global projects across the environmental, refining, petrochemical, bulk commodity chemicals, fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors.

 

General

You will work alongside Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and Project Directors on projects assisting in the delivery of the following tasks:

 

·         Assist in Preparation of Proposals following the sales process and working closely with the sales department, as required

·         Assist produce client presentations

·         Work closely and effectively with clients and internal project teams to define project scopes of work

·         Assist prepare and manage project execution plans

·         Assist undertake technical and feasibility studies and site investigations

·         Produce administrative documentation such as requests for information, technical queries, contract instructions, change requests

·         Work alongside the following Worley group functions to assist generate, manage and report all aspects associated with;

o    Project Contracts – Legal

o    Engineering Design - Engineering

o    Project Costs – Cost Control

o    Project Progress – Planning

o    Project Estimating & Risk – Estimating

o    Project Procurement – Procurement

o    Construction – Construction Management

o    Design & Construction HSE – Eng. & Construction Management

o    Project Commissioning – Construction / Commissioning

·         Assist produce project action registers and expedite action closure.

·         Assist produce month end progress reports for clients and internal senior management

·         Assist provide Project Management technical advisory services to project stakeholders during all aspects of the project lifecycle

·         Assist operate, promote and lead project teams to deliver the highest standard of health, safety and environmental compliance

·         Assist deliver projects to Cost, on Schedule at the required Quality with best in class HSE

 

Skills & Experience

·         Ability to use initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently

·         Methodical approach to problem solving

·         Effective time & task management

·         Excellent organisation and verbal communication skills.

·         Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail

·         Energetic and self-motivated team player with a flexible approach

·         Flexibility regarding UK & overseas site secondments  

 

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Work experience (Industrial placement / full time employment)
  • Good skills with Microsoft office suite
  • Strong HSE culture
  • BSc / MSc (Business, Psychology, HSE, Construction)
