About the role
Reporting to Electrical Manager, you will provide electrical engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the electrical engineering team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform assignment in the area of plant electrical systems engineering and design with clear and specific objectives.
- Perform work within the electrical discipline, which involves the preparation, checking or review of calculations, specifications, plans, studies, systems or equipment with relatively few complex features
- Prepare calculations relating to basic engineering design requirements, in conformance with the applicable project design criteria, industry and Worley standards
- Prepare input data for computerized solutions to engineering design problems
- Assist in the preparation of single line diagrams, relay protection studies and calculations
- Participate in preparation of specifications, material requisitions and other related procurement documents
- Review design documents of equipment manufacturers or subcontractors for compliance with specifications standards, project requirements and overall adequacy. Prepare comments and recommendations
- Assist in preparation of project control documents and status reports within the electrical systems group
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum 8 Years’ experience in Electrical engineering design, preferably in offshore and onshore upstream Oil and Gas projects
- Competent in the use of applicable engineering software as necessary to complete design (e.g. power system modelling, design databases, lighting calculations, etc), as well as supporting software such as Microsoft Office applications

- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
- A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the electrical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Competent use of electrical engineering specific software.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Substantial technical land practical experience in electrical engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
- A recognised and relevant engineering degree.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.
