Purpose:

Worley Sarnia is looking for a DCS/PLC programmer with EPC experience to assist with our dynamic team. 

Responsibilities

• Provide Controls design support to multidisciplinary teams on maintenance and expansion projects.

• Basic design/specification and detailed design of Control systems including control narratives,   C&E, panel layouts, loop drawings, and P&ID’s.

• Proficient in programming DCS and PLC systems such as Honeywell TDC3000/PKS, Fox I/A and HIMA.

• Create construction packages including scope of work and drawings and perform interdisciplinary  reviews.

• Able to liaison with Client’s during project meetings, HAZOP’s, and adhere to Client standards.

• Able to prepare work-hour estimates for small to medium size projects.

• Participate in project planning and execution.

• Commission systems on site and perform FAT/SAT’s as required.

• Ability to work alone, or lead teams of up to 5 people overseeing quality and able to mentor junior staff.

• Can actively identify scope and manage MOC processes and variances.

 

 

What you will bring

 

•A minimum of 10 years experience in Controls within an EPC/plant  environment and a complete understanding of the engineering documents associated with controls such as: P&ID’s, loop sheets, panel layouts, control narratives, logic diagrams, etc.

•Experience in refineries is an asset.

•A 2 or 3 year diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology or Engineering Degree is required.

•Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

•Programming experience on Fox I/A and Honeywell DCS and HIMA, would be an asset however other relevant experience will be considered.

•TUV certification would be an asset.
