The Crane Technician is responsible for management and execution of assigned projects in accordance with the requirementsof the contract between Worley and clients, and in accordance with quality, safety, and cost control standards. TheForeman will plan and direct the work of crews based on job criteria including size of crew, work complexity, and any
applicable state or federal requirements.Test, repair, operate, and modify lifting equipment in compliance with federal OSHA, ASME, and recognized NationalStandards. Testing, repair, operation, and modifications that below-the-hook lifting equipment comply with federal OSHA, ASME, and recognized National Standards. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all types of rigging equipment to include non-mobile overhead cranes, chain falls, come-a longs, slings, spreader bars, shackles, lifting eyes and miscellaneous rigging equipment.

- Initiates and maintains positive working relationships with client representatives within each facility, as well as other

- Possesses a basic understanding and knowledge of the terms and conditions of contracts, including the scope of work.and associated client deliverables. Manages work in accordance with project goals, contract and customer requirements and expectations, including performance, quality, compliance and safety as outlined in the contract terms and conditions.
- Regularly seeks customer feedback, measures customer satisfaction and acts on results to improve performance.
- Adheres to Work Execution Plan expectations, including assigning work in accordance with work management processes.and ensures the safe execution of work within the planned and approved scope, job plans, timelines and approved budgets.
- Evaluates risks, consequences and impacts of activities on customers and other key individuals as well as what in the business may potentially cause harm to people or property.

- Monitors training and compliance with contract and company safety and environmental procedures and policies; documents and ensures that corrective measures are implemented when required.
- Repair, troubleshoot and reassemble lifting equipment (to include but not limited to overhead cranes, chain falls, come a longs, slings, spreader bars, shackles and lifting eyes).
- Perform load testing for rigging and moving large loads.
- Perform preventive maintenance on overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
- Provide replacement parts information on proper documentation to Crane Lead for ordering.
- Work in conjunction with coordinator, lead and foreman in planning scheduled repair work.
- Write, organize and update repair reports, to include crane maintenance records.
- Interpret and apply blueprints, maintenance manuals, and technical manuals.
- Extensive knowledge of the use/application of rigging hardware, chain falls, and lever operated hoists
- Willing to work at heights routinely
- Ensure during inspection, testing, repair, operation, and modifications that below the hook lifting equipment complies with federal OSHA, ASME, and recognized National Standards.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

- Familiar with principals of lubrication.
- Possesses a wide range of mechanical knowledge of hoists and cranes.
- Able to maintain crane maintenance records.
- Ability to communicate safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.
- Able to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand schematic, blueprint/drawings, job descriptions, maintenance/safety/technical manuals and safety/warning signs.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of instrumentation, air and electrical knowledge in order to repair pneumatic systems and communicate with electricians.
- Self-motivated, self-directed individual.

- Trained and certified to inspect rigging & below the hook lifting devices from 100 lbs. to 75 tons.
- Trained and certified to inspect non mobile cranes, wire rope, chain falls, come-a-longs from 100 lbs. to 75 tons.
- Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of non-mobile cranes.
- Advanced knowledge of inspecting rigging and below the hook lifting devices.
- Advanced knowledge of lubrication principals and crane pneumatic systems.

- Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
- Lift 40 lbs. floor to knuckles x 5 self-paced, with 12 second intervals.
- Lift 40 lbs. from floor to waist x 5 self-paced with 12 second intervals.
- Climb and Carry: While carrying 40 lbs. with one hand and using the other hand to hold onto a railing for safety, climb up and down 3 steps and then continue the carry for 5 feet on level surface and repeat test again for a total of 2 test repetitions.
- Pull with a peak isometric force of 56 lbs. x 3 Push with a peak isometric force of 86 lbs. x 2.
- Slanted Ladder: Climb up and down 12 rungs x 2 for a total of 24 rungs, self-paced but continuous
- Sustained Squat Test- Functionally squat for a sustained period of 3 minutes; allow test recipient to shift weight as desired.
- Sustained Kneeling Test: Kneel for 5 minutes; allow test recipient to switch weight bearing knee as desired.
- Repetitive Kneel Test: Perform from standing, kneel on one knee, alternating from left to right knee, x 5 each knee
- Repetitive Stoop Test: Perform from standing position, bend forward at waist as far as possible without bending the knees with hands reaching toward the floor x 5, self-paced, but continuous.
- Repetitive Squat Test: Perform a functional squat and stand x 5
- Twist and Flex Test: Perform from standing alternate toe touches x 5 to each side to assess ability to twist and flex the trunk repetitively.
Qualifications:
- (1-2) years of experience with inspection, installation, maintenance and repair of non-mobile cranes, wire rope, chain falls and come-a-longs (100 lbs. to 75 tons)
- Must possess training certification to inspect non mobile cranes, wire rope, chain falls and come-a-longs (100 lbs. to 75 tons).
- 2 years of field maintenance experience.
- 3 years of effectively managing and leading technicians.
- High school/GED.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by Worley’s auto.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years petrochemical field experience.
- Familiarity with Greater Prudhoe Bay (GPB) layout and facilities.
- Man-lift and Scaffold User training
- One (1) year Windows based computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and Access database
- One (1) year working with remote North Slope operations with demonstrated knowledge of facilities, safety processes, and maintenance procedures preferred.
