Field Shutdown Engineer- Prudhoe Bay, AK
This is a proposal position and the offer will be contingent on the award of a contract. Work will extend until the project is completed. The position is expected to start on December 9th, 2020 and remain in place for approximately 9-months. This is a position in the Worley Construction Organization located on the North Slope that requires a flexible rotational work schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and the North Slope is provided. Room and meals are provided while on the North Slope.
In this role, the Field Shutdown Engineer will interact with Worley’s construction crew, clients, and project management team to support the planning and technical execution of our projects, focusing on Shutdown critical work.

- Previous experience in delivery of customer service, the ability to establish and maintain a rapport and working
- relationship with co-workers and client representatives
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to and work with personnel in all levels of an organization
- Must have sound computer skills; proficient with use of Microsoft Office software and field sketching software
Responsibilities:
- Review and estimate scopes of work and drawings packages.
- Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, budgets, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing
- requirements, and allotment of available resources to various commissioning phases of a project.
- Produce a material take off list to ensure all required project materials have been procured. Work with the material
- department to procure any shorts.
- Create field installed work packages for the craft foremen to execute the work with.
- Interface with Client, vendors, and other subcontractors to plan Shutdown work
- Keep abreast of project schedules / movement allowing for prioritization of work
- Produce hydrotest plans, lift plans, and other technical documents as necessary.
- Assemble system completion packages and facilitate project turnover.
- Estimate change scope and assemble change notices for submission to the client.
- Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems, produce / submit RFIs as required.
- Coordinates and/or attend planning, construction, start-up, commissioning and qualification meetings.
- Submit weekly and daily reports to client, interfacing with craft superintendents and foremen on the report contents.
- Maintain current revision drawing packages, and redline drawings, as applicable.

- Three to seven (3-7) years of experience with BS or MS in an engineering or construction management, or five to ten (5-10) years in supervisory position if from craft ranks, required
- Three (3) years of experience in piping discipline required
- Five (5) years North Slope experience required
- Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by Worley's auto insurer required
- Alaskan Residents are preferred
