Responsibilities:
The purpose of this role is to support delivery of successful projects and programs by either:
- Working with the Worley global mining team, focused on Front End solutions and support of Worley’s Engineering Projects around the World.
- Providing technical and consulting services to mining Tier 1 and 2 clients and act as a QP (NI43-101 and JORC compliant studies) when required.
- Services will be focused but not limited to:
- Provide geotechnical input for scoping and feasibility studies
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and numerical modelling
- Assist our principal engineers on project work, and take the lead on occasion
- Ensure compliance with site and statutory standards
- Manage projects and process safety improvements
- Assist mining engineers with mining method selection, mine planning and optimisation, and peer review
- Due diligence and technical audits
- Leading and / or delivering technical and engineering work on PEA, PFS, and FS technical studies.
- Supporting and working on technical and engineering execution of mining projects.
- Providing input into Business Development strategy and maintain/ expand professional network.
- Site visits and work on sites as required
What you will bring
Technical and Industry Experience:
· 15+ years of operational hard rock experience.
· In depth knowledge of key empirical and
numerical design methods. Experience with RocScience software (required) and
numerical codes such as RS2 or FLAC3D.
· Experience with NI43-101 and/ or JORC compliant
studies required.
· Willingness to travel.
· Fluent written and spoken English required.
Knowledge of French, Spanish, Portuguese or Russian highly regarded.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation,
Training:
Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Engineering or
Mine Engineering, with Post Graduate (Masters or PhD) highly regarded.
